Can Eating Small Meals A Day Speed Up Your Metabolism?
I don’t blame any fitness expert or any fitness enthusiast to still think that eating small meals a day will speed up your metabolism and the reason is because that information is so prominent all over the internet. And it has been quoted by so many highly credible educated fitness and nutrition professionals in so many books that is hard for the average fitness enthusiast to differentiate what is true or not true.
This very statement is actually quoted by a highly credible PHD Nutrition Expert on WebMD with this link I just attached.http://www.webmd.com/diet/features/increase-your-metabolism-start-losing-fat?page=
Although I think he has changed that stance recently though. WebMD is a highly credible health and wellness site. This statement is also in one of my ISSA nutrition specialist books which is crazy because it is authored by the same highly credible PHD nutrition expert. There is not one bit of recent scientific research out there that has stated that eating small meals a day speeds up your metabolism so this statement in Web MD is 100 percent untrue.
The only advantage I would say in eating small meals a day is for some people it prevents them from overeating and helps make the average person less hungry by eating regularly. Whether you consume to 1,500 to 2,000 calories a day in 3 meals or 6 meals it will not affect or speed up your metabolism either way. This is one of the biggest myths in fitness and this mythical information needs to be eradicated from the internet and all published books honestly.
