Most of these studies on sucralose are short term. And there needs to be more long-term studies on the effects of sucralose on gut health.

Artificial sweeteners like sucralose are always marketed as good for weight loss. The gold standard of research studies is a randomized controlled trial. There was a review of randomized controlled trials that showed that artificial sweeteners revealed about 1.7 pounds on average.

The long-term health effects of sucralose are still unclear, but the FDA does consider it safe to take. Like anything, if you take sucralose within moderation, you shouldn’t have any health problems.
