Cheat meals are good for savoring your taste buds but not meant to fill your belly or stomach. Consume your cheat meals within moderation and no more than two times a week. Cheat meals are also important to help replenish your body with more carbs and fats.
Some examples of good cheat foods are pizza, bread, pasta, sub, chicken wings, burgers, nuts, fruits, ice cream. A good example of eating a pizza when cheating is eating a slice or two; An example of eating a burger is half a burger; An example of eating some chicken wings is a couple of wings; An example of eating a sub is consuming a half a sub. So you get the point when consuming cheat meals is to make sure you use them to savor your taste buds and not to use them as if you are eating at an ALL You Can Eat Buffet. Also try not to drink extra calories on your cheat day such as alcohol or soft drinks. You shouldn’t gain any weight only water gain from extra carbs but these extra calories will help fire up your metabolism.
The best way to cheat is to pick a day and have 2 cheat meals in the same day. This will help increase your metabolism and when you return on your diet your metabolism you should still be elevated. Again remember any weight gained from a cheat day is just water from eating extra carbs. The main reason for a cheat meal is that your body is craving sugar and fat during your diet so try it to supply that within moderation of course while you are on your cheat meal day. Cheat meals should always consist of foods you are not eating on your diet. So if you are eating chicken on your diet please don’t eat chicken on your cheat meal.
