The publisher Ms Debert Cook of African-American Golfer’s Digest has just named me the new fitness columnist to this incredible National Magzine. My Q and A column will start in the summer edition called “Ask Obi” and will feature every quarterly issue of the magazine. My very first fitness article launches in the spring edition within a month from now which I am very excited about. I honestly can’t believe I’ve been given this opportunity and the publisher believe it or not found me on the internet via my website.
This national magazine is a quarterly magazine with over 80,000 readers and is available in over 250 Golf events across the country. This is an incredible honor to be able to touch into a completely different audience than fitness and bodybuilding. As a fitness professional the ultimate goal is to really to connect with a mainstream audience. This opportunity gives me such an incredible platform to do that as well as help educate many pro and amateur golfers on health and fitness through this column that may not be fitness magazine enthusiasts or readers.
A little Information about the magazine: African-American Golfer’s Digest is the nation’s leading publication for avid golfers, the magazine has been profiled on The Golf Channel, ESPN, Golf For Women, Meetings & Conventions Magazine, Black Enterprise, Ebony, The Network Journal, Crain’s New York business, The New York Amsterdam News and many others.
This column will be my 6th national column in 6 different magazines for 2010. Please dont ask me when I will have the time to write because I am still trying to figure that out…LOL. But its really nice to be wanted and its nice for any publisher to give you an opportunity to create a voice with their respective magazine.
I want to always Thank everybody that has supported me through this incredible journey. There is a lot of big things I am working on that I am really excited about that I am really looking forward to unveiling to you all very shortly. Stay Fit And Be Healthy!
Have A Great Week All,
Obi Obadike
