Why I am always hungry? One of the reasons you may be always hungry is you are probably not eating enough fiber and protein foods. When you eat fiber and protein foods it helps to suppress your appetite and make you eat less food.

Some good protein foods to eat are chicken, turkey, fish, beef, steak, shrimp, tilapia, etc. Some food fiber foods are strawberries, apples, bananas, peaches, broccoli, spinach, green beans, asparagus, oatmeal, sweet potatoes, etc.

Another thing that can always make you hungry is not drinking enough water. Research studies show that drinking water before a meal will make you eat less food. A small 2016 research study showed that participants who drank 2 cups of water before a meal ate 600 fewer calories than those who didn’t drink any water.

If you exercise a lot that will increase your hunger hormones and make you want to eat more food. A 2015 research review study showed that long term exercise can increase your appetite. One of the best ways to prevent excessive hunger from exercise is to eat more food which will help to give you extra fuel for your workouts.

If you consume a lot of sugar sweetened beverages like soda that can spike up your hunger levels too. Liquid foods are less satisfying which will make you hungrier and want to eat more food.

Being on certain medications can also increase your hunger hormones such antidepressants, birth control pills, corticosteroids, etc.

The Bottom Line is what will make you hungry is not drinking enough water, not eating enough protein and fiber foods, consuming too many sugary sweetened beverages, and exercising a lot.
