A study that was done in Feb of 2020 on 187 men and 50 women. 10 of them were elite athletes, 131 were moderately active people and 96 were asked not to undergo any training.
They took 150 and 1500 mg daily of curcumin 72 hours both before and after exercise. And the result was shown to be effective in decreasing muscle pain, muscle damage and inflammation.
Sleep Quality
Animal studies have shown that taking turmeric can improve sleep quality but there is no evidence yet that this can happen in humans. In fact, a clinical trial revealed that curcumin did not improve sleep duration in adults that had metabolic syndrome.
