Posted by webmaster on Tuesday Oct 9, 2012 Under General Blog, Incredible Fat Loss TransformationsCheck out another amazing 10 week fat loss transformation of a client of mine named Fernando. He went from a starting body-fat percentage of 24.5% to an ending body-fat percentage of 14% and he lost 10 percent of body-fat in just 10 weeks of online training. He also had a starting weight of 167lbs and dropped down to 150lbs losing 17 pounds in the process. He got in great shape right before his wedding and his 40th birthday. Congratulations to Fernando for working so hard on losing the weight in just 10 weeks of online training. His personal testimonial and transformation pictures are below.
Fernando’s Personal Testimonial:
“My story is a familiar one to many – I was in decent shape when younger but with life commitments and slower metabolism things tend to catch up with you. I was what I considered to be “hidden fat” which means that I knew I was getting bigger but thought the clothes I wore hid it and people didn’t really notice. I later found out that was not the case!
With a beach wedding coming up in September and my 40th birthday approaching the following year, I reached out to Obi in July and asked him to work his magic and make me presentable again. I had been working out for the past year on my own but was faltering in diet and consistency. You see in my younger working out years I was doing everything I can do to GAIN weight. Now that I had let myself go I had to learn how to lose weight. I also knew with someone watching over me I had to be accountable to both of us. It’s one thing to let yourself down but I was motivated to show Obi I could do this too!
Obi presented me with a straightforward diet and workout plan. I was in for a shock at first because the number of calories was lower than I was used to and the workouts were intense. Mind you I have a full-time corporate career and family commitments so my workouts took place at 5am. This was done to make sure there were no excuses for missing a workout and plus the gym tends to be a bit less crowded during those times.
The first thing I would stress to anyone considering a transformation is consistency. Even if I was exhausted I would still get up and do my workout. If I was hungry and had already hit my calories I would chew on some sugarless gum. I also faced many challenges with business meals, social events, and personal food cravings. What I found here is that I wouldn’t necessarily deny myself but I would make sure to enjoy a reasonable-sized portion and once again make absolutely certain my workout is not missed. You also have to learn to be objective with what the scale tells you. I found my weight can fluctuate 3 pounds in a couple of days. In fact I was heavier after one week than when I started! This could have been discouraging but Obi and I made some adjustments and next thing I know the weight started coming off.
The other important thing I learned was the importance of diet. I believe most of the public thinks they can out-exercise a bad diet. This is absolutely not true for 99% of us. If you trained constantly throughout the day then you can get away with not tracking calories. But if you work in an office or are relatively inactive, there is no way a one-hour workout will overcome stuffing your face all day. Although a hassle at first, I began keeping a food diary which had me measuring and tracking everything I ate.
I had scales, measuring cups, and spoons all over my kitchen. And anytime I went out to eat I would make note of the nutritional profile of the meal I was going to have so I can make sure it fits into my diet. Without doing this you are only guessing and in all likelihood guessing too low. The difference between gaining and losing weight can be just a couple of hundred calories so this is VERY important. Once you get a feel for what portion sizes look like then you can ease up on tracking food because you’ll know how much you are consuming.
It’s a struggle at times but well worth it. I’m not even close to ending my journey but these first 12 weeks have been a huge success for me. I’ve proven I can overcome obstacles and stick with something I put my mind to. I’ve also received numerous comments from co-workers and acquaintances who are shocked by my appearance. My clothes no longer fit and I have to begin shopping again for new outfits. The fat I thought I was hiding was obvious to the world and now that they see my transformation they are taking notice and asking what I’m doing.
If you’re on the fence and not sure if Obi can really help you, go ahead and make the investment in yourself. This isn’t one of the infomercial programs that promise to transform you if you only work out 10 minutes per week, this is the real thing that requires buckets of sweat and commitment. But you’ll be learning from one of the best who does create a personalized approach and makes sure you are on target. Sure you’ll have to provide your own motivation at the gym but just keep your goal in mind and if you persevere it’ll all come together eventually. I know I’m ready to continue my journey towards my ideal body!”
