“Don’t Make Fitness A New Years Resolution”

So its New Year’s resolution time and you are probably thinking to yourself I want to make this year the year where I will get in better shape, eat healthier and train harder. Let me ask you something: Why wait until New Year to make an excuse to do this and why not make it a permanent lifestyle? It is so easy to make excuses such as: I don’t have enough time to train; I am tired; I have my kids with me or I don’t have the energy to work-out today, etc.

We all can find excuses not to want to work out and eat better but the fact of the matter is if you take a shower and brush your teeth every day which is daily hygiene for any normal person than there is no reason for you not to want to work-out every week and make it part of your normal daily hygiene.

How I look at working out and consuming healthy foods daily is somewhat like my daily hygiene. If I don’t do it I feel dirty and I feel guilty like I did something wrong. Never make excuses for doing something that can improve your mental and physical health. The longer you wait the harder it is to get back on track with your fitness goals.

Some of the best ways to make yourself accountable and motivate yourself is to make fitness a lifestyle and write down your fitness goals on a piece paper. Example: Write down what your daily workouts will be before you do it; Write down what you will be eating each day before you start the day. When you write what you have to do for the day or week it forces you to be accountable for what you put down on paper and minimizes you making excuses for not doing it.

These are things that you should follow when it comes to staying motivated to stay on track for your fitness goals.

Write Down Your Fitness Goals for the week

Look Over Your Fitness Goals each week

Execute Your Fitness Goals each week

Make Yourself Accountable for Everything You Write Down each week

Make Yourself Accountable for any successes and also for any shortcomings or failures

Top Fitness Personality Obi Obadike Writes Article On Not Making Fitness A New Years Resolution

You are the creator of your own vessel and it is not a trainer, nutritionist or some random fitness expert that can motivate you to want to do it. Knowing that you have the type of power to make it happen should be enough motivation to use the New Year not to get in shape for a 2 month period and quit but to get in great shape and maintain it for a lifestyle. Fitness is not about getting in shape for a competition, a photo-shoot a wedding or some special occasion. It is about making it a permanent healthy lifestyle that can extend the longevity of your life and help you slow the aging process.

So I challenge you not to get in shape for some New Year’s resolution common cliché but do it because you want to make a permanent healthy change in your life and if you look at the way I can promise you that it will become a lifestyle.

Top Fitness Expert Obi Obadike’s Fitness Tips

Posted by webmaster on Tuesday Jun 19, 2012 Under Articles I've written, General Blog
Obi’s Fitness Tip: There is no such thing as a set fitness guide or a set diet and training plan and the reason being is adjustments will always have to be made to allow you to plow through plateaus or walls. If you are on a diet and training plan and it isn’t working for you it may not be that the plan isn’t any good there may be an adjustment that needs to be made on that plan. There is no such thing as a set plan that will help you get lean or ripped or a one for all diet and training plan that will help you lose the fat. Any plan that you are on has to be formatted to your age, bf%, body-type, body-weight, physical limitations, health concerns, etc.
And then after that plan is created for you then you still need somebody to monitor your weekly progress on that plan to make sure it is actually working for you. It’s a process but if you understand that there isn’t a one plan that fits all and that it does take time for a trainer to figure out what is the best plan for your body-type that will allow you to attain your fitness goals then you are already a step ahead to that goal. It’s a trial and error process at times when you are on a diet and training plan and adjustments are always continuously being made throughout the program to help you get to your goal.

I wrote an article not long ago about consuming carbs late at night and what it could do to your body well not long after that I read scientific research that contradicted what I wrote which happens to any fitness expert or fitness writer from time to time. The best way to learn is to make mistakes and there is no fitness expert that knows everything but if you have the ability to be open to learning new things and open to new research that comes about, then you have the ability to be a better teacher and a better fitness expert that will hopefully help people obtain their fitness goals. With that being said here is an article below that I am writing about the consumption of carbs for fat loss that contradicts some stuff I wrote not long ago based on research that was brought to my attention by  a good friend of mine Kelechi Opara and based on conversations I had with Dr Jim Stoppani and also further research I did on this topic. Dr Jim Stoppani holds a doctorate in exercise physiology with a minor in biochemistry from the University of Connecticut. He has been the personal nutrionist and health consultnat for a numerous amount of celebrity clients. If you google him you will see that he is a world renowned fitnes expert and a great wealth and resource of knowledge on nutrition and training.

Carbohydrates are one of the important macronutrients and many people are clueless on when is the best time to really consume carbs for your respective fitness and fat loss goals. Carbs is the body’s primary chief energy source which should be used for burning fuel but if you over consume them as well as fats, proteins or just overall daily calories it will lead to weight gain and fat gain.

Carbohydrates are essential for giving you energy throughout the day although there is no research study that proves that there is a certain time of the day to consume carbs for fat loss. At the same time for energy level purposes it doesn’t make sense to wait until the end of the day to consume carbs because it will affect your energy levels and your brain functionality throughout day. There are some people that are unique where they can function relatively well with very little carbs throughout the day from an energy level perspective.  I spoke to Dr. Jim Stoppani about this when I was at the Arnold fitness Expo back in March of 2012 and he said why would you make yourself a zombie through-out the day because you want to wait to consume your carbs during some specific latter part of the day.

Per Dr. Jim Stoppani it doesn’t make sense to not have carbs in the morning time because you limit your energy levels by waiting to consume them during the latter part of the day. His words to me was why make yourself suffer if you don’t have to.  Restricting your carbs late at night will not help you lose any more fat unless you are decreasing your overall daily caloric intake. This seems to be a myth out there and in fact I even believed that because I read this in many fitness magazines.

If you have a goal of improving your fat loss you should focus on how many daily calories you are consuming as opposed to what time of the day to consume carbs and you should focus on having a healthy good balance of carbs, fats and proteins in your diet. There was a research study on obese police officers who shifted their consumption of carbs during their last meal as opposed to spreading their carbs throughout the day and they actually had better fat loss consuming carbs late at night which was quite interesting. The research study was done for a 6 month period can be found at http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed?term=21475137

I spoke to Dr Jim Stoppani about this study in great detail and he said just because that study worked on obese individuals doesn’t mean the result of this study would work on a highly conditioned fitness enthusiast or highly conditioned athlete because the biochemistry of an obese person and someone that is in great shape are totally different. The obese individual and highly conditioned athlete processes things in your body differently.  Per Dr. Stoppani’s words just because a research study has been administered doesn’t mean the end result is the bible or gospel but nonetheless this research study is a great reference information tool in the understanding of the consumption of carbs late at night.

It is also important to know the difference between good carbs and bad carbs so at least you know what are the best carbs to consume for fat loss.  Good carbs are full of fiber, minerals, vitamins which consist of brown Rice, wild rice, millet barley, whole grain cereal, whole wheat pasta, vegetables, fresh fruits and oatmeal which are all great carbs options.  Bad carbs on the other hand are full of sugar and white flour which can send your blood sugar levels skyrocketing upwards and they are honey, molasses, fruit juices, soda, white bread and white pasta.  Eating a diet that is full of bad carbohydrates can lead to an array of medical problems. These issues include weight gain, an increase in the risk of diabetes and an increase chance of heart disease.

The minimal recommended daily intake for carbohydrate consumption is 130 grams per day per the American Dietetic Association. However the individual’s needs vary based on the person’s activity levels, body size and respective fitness goals. But some individuals that are really trying to aggressively lose body fat have been known to do fairly well on 50 grams of carbs per day or less.

HIIT- High Intensity Interval Training is one of the best cardiovascular training methods for fat loss and muscle maintenance. It is one of the preferred cardio training methods out there because you can burn an infinite amount of calories in less than 30 minutes a day. The main concept and science behind HIIT- (High Intensity Interval Training) is training in intervals and training at different speeds. One of the most important things for HIIT is never allowing your body to adapt to the same level of intensity which will allow your body to fall into a steady state.

Always try to change the pace of the intensity and pushing yourself through each interval which is key for HIIT. Interval training can be something like an all-out sprint or jogging to lower your heart rate and then changing the speed after 30 seconds and sprinting again. Different high interval cardio training activities that you can do are sprinting, boxing, jump-roping and even a treadmill, elliptical or stair-master which are all great for fat loss.

The treadmill still burns more calories per hour then the elliptical, stair-master or bike. So it is more favorable for calorie burning purposes but the bike and elliptical is better on the body and joints then the treadmill. One of the negatives to high-interval training is that it carries a greater risk of injury and is physically and psychologically demanding to the body because of the level of intensity of the training.

The advantage of HIIT is that you can burn more calories within a shorter period of time without having to spend hours a day performing cardio which is what appeals to many people in society which is less time working out. One of the greatest things about HIIT is the after burn which is the excess Post Oxygen Consumption. You not only burn a lot of calories at the workout but you will burn just as much or more after the workout. High interval training has the ability to change your body’s calorie burning capabilities.

There have been many research studies out there that have said that long endurance activities such as marathon running can cause muscle catabolism which basically means the breakdown of the loss of muscle tissue which can sometimes last up to 7 days after the activity takes place. The four benefits of HIIT are increase speed, increase power, increase endurance and burns more calories by increasing your metabolism so you lose fat faster.  Many professional athletes incorporate this in their training because it has been proven to improve athletic performance.

High interval Cardio Exercises- Calories burned in 30 Minutes- Perform any of these at least 3 times a week for fat burning purposes

Sprinting on Track- Burns 400 calories to 430 calories for a person that weighs anywhere from 150 pounds to 200 pounds. Sample workout- 10 100 meter sprints- Sprint a 100 meters and then walk back to the starting line and proceed again. Your rest is walking back to the starting line.

Punching a Boxing Bag-burns 230 and 260 calories for a person that weighs anywhere from 150 pounds to 200 pounds.

Jump-Roping Moderate Speed- Burns 400 and 450 calories for a person that weighs anywhere from 150 pounds to 200 pounds.

There are several research studies that have been done that favors that high intensity interval training is more favorable for fat loss then low intensity training. A study performed by Jeffrey W. King of East Tennessee State University that was published May 2001 showed that HIIT increases the resting metabolic rate for the following 24 hours. This means that not only do HIIT workout increase metabolism and help burn fat during the workout but they continue do so for 24 hours continuing the workout. To view the full scientific research study please go to http://etd-submit.etsu.edu/etd/theses/available/etd-0412101-214442/unrestricted/king0417.pdf

There was another research study done by M Sanchez Pacheco on rats and they had these rats perform high intensity cardio exercises and low intensity cardio exercises at the same amount of work. The rats that performed high intensity exercises lost more fat then then rats that performed low intensity exercises. There was a significant loss of body-fat by these rats that performed high intensity exercises at 80 to 90 percent of their maximum heart rate while there was no significant change in body-fat that was found in the lower intensity group that performed 60% to 70% of their maximum heart rate.

Personally high interval cardio training has been a huge factor to me maintaining the type of conditioning I maintain all year round and it is a incredible key component when I am getting ready for magazine cover-shoots. Most of my clients biggest fat loss transformations are due to HIIT and obviously a sensible diet plan.

Before starting any HIIT workout always start with a good warm-up and then end with a good cool-down before you end the workout which is great to prevent any injuries. Lastly because you are going to burn a lot of calories within a shorter period of time make sure you are constantly keeping yourself hydrated by drinking lots of water to avoid cramping up during the exercise and after the exercise. HIIT is arguably the best way to train cardiovascular wise for fat loss.

Check out top fitness expert Obi Obadike’s fitness tip below:

Fitness Tip: Always do your cardio if possible time permitting of course after you weigh-train and not before. The reason being is performing cardio after you weight-train will reduce your energy and strength levels. Light cardio to warm-up for 5 to 10 minutes is perfectly fine but try to perform your cardio after you weight-train because it is better for strength levels, lean muscle mass gains and fat burning purposes. There is a research study that supports this theory that will be posting in the article! Will be posting an article about this in the near future with an elaborative research study that supports this theory.

Check out top fitness expert Obi Obadike’s fitness tip below on what you can realistically do in terms of putting on lean muscle mass on your physique:

Lean muscle muscle gain for naturals: Complete novices can can gain approximately 2% of their total bodyweight per month. Intermediates can gain 1- 1.5% of their total bodyweight per month. Advanced trainees near their genetic potential are lucky to gain 0.5-1.0% of total bodyweight gain as a fat free muscle per month. If you can gain 7-10lbs of fat free muscle in a year that is a huge accomplishment as a natural bodybuilder or fitness enthusiast.

It is common for a newbie to gain 18 pounds of lean muscle in their first of year training. It is impossible for somebody that has been training for a very long time and is at their genetic potential to gain more then 10 pounds of lean muscle in a year naturally.   Also there is no research study out there that supports that somebody that does the fast bulk meaning someone that consumes an enormous amount of daily calories per day will gain lean muscle at a faster rate then someone that consumes a moderate amount of calories per day when bulking up slowly.

The end result of a fast bulk is putting on unnecessary fat and water on your body. If there is no research study that supports that your muscle gain will not be faster if you bulk up slowly then it may make sense to be lean and do a slow bulk as opposed to doing a fast bulk and looking sloppy during the process when the rate of lean muscle gain either way is still the same.

What Is The Magic Solution To Fat Loss?

Posted by webmaster on Thursday Jan 12, 2012 Under Articles I've written

Everybody is trying to find the magic pill, magic supplement and the magic workout to lose fat and unwanted weight. Before you find the best solution that works for you I believe you need to assess your fitness goals and find out what you want to accomplish. Do you want to get lean? Do you want to get great abs or do you just want to just be overall healthy?  After figuring out what your fitness goals are then you need to find the best program to help you get there. If your goal is to lose fat fast and most people in society seem to have that goal you need to be on a low calorie diet consisting of high protein, low carbs and low fats.

TopFitnessModelObiObadike'sArticleOnTheMagicSolutionToFatLoss

You then need to be on an anaerobic routine at least 3 times working out every body-part at least once a week. You also want to incorporate an aerobic workout at least 3 times a week.  If you combine lifting weights and cardio collectively together for your workout routine you give yourself the greatest opportunity to burn an infinite amount of calories and to speed up your metabolism throughout the day. If your goal is to lose fat fast then you always want to make sure that your body is a fast churning fat burning metabolic body meaning that your metabolism is always running at a high level. You can accomplish this by being consistent when you are working out and trying not to take any breaks from your training workout.  Follow every set and every rep and every exercise to the end and never let up.

Remember you can’t get in great shape overnight but if you follow a sensible diet and training program then you can get the best body you’ve always wanted. Some people unfortunately have to work-out harder than others because of great genetics or a faster metabolism but anybody can get in shape if they do the right things. There is no magic pill to getting lean but there is a magic solution and the solution that you pick has to be the right program to help you get lean.

This may sound like a cliché and maybe you’ve heard this before that your diet is 80 percent of the battle in getting lean but it is very true. Your diet is crucial and integral in your success in losing unwanted body-fat. If you aren’t eating the right foods it is very difficult to lose weight regardless of how hard you are training in the gym unless you have superior genetics which not everybody has. Your diet and training program should always be connected together and it goes hand and hand in your fat loss success. What is your magic solution?  The magic solution is the fat loss program and system you select that will help you accomplish your fat loss goals.  Once you find it and implement it then you should see yourself inching closer to your goal every day.

Obsession In Your Craft Will Ultimately Lead To Success

Posted by webmaster on Tuesday Nov 29, 2011 Under Articles I've written

To be successful in whatever you do you have to be obsessed with it.  I will use the fitness industry and my own experience in it as a good analogy of being obsessed with something and how it will ultimately lead to successs. I remember when I came in the fitness industry in mid-2008 and I wanted to make a difference and make a mark in the fitness industry. I didn’t know how I would but I was going to figure it out some way or another. When speaking to decision makers when I first came in the game I was turned down by a quite a few magazines and some of the responses from them were the following: “He doesn’t have that all-American look”, “We can put him in the magazine but I can’t put a black guy on my cover”. “Black covers typically don’t sell very well and we haven’t tried it in a long time.”

First Black male Fitness Model To Launch The First Cover Issue Of a U.S FItness Magazine In The Stands- Top Fitness Model Natalia Muntean featured on the cover over along with Top Fitness Model Obi Obadike- Photo Credit: GW Burns- Obsesson leads to Success!

“We may have to wait a considerable amount of time since we already put a black person recently on the cover.” All of these emails I saved and I’ve never deleted it because it gave me an incredible chip on my shoulder that I still have today. I thought to myself wow this is going to be very tough to succeed in this industry with those type of responses particularly because there wasn’t really a prominent black male fitness model in the industry. I figured that was my goal was to see if I could break those color barriers that were still out there in the industry and hopefully be that prominent person of color as a male in the fitness game. I knew that if I ever was going to do this that I had to be obsessed with this fitness industry and I really cut out a lot of personal things in my life. And so what did I do? I cut out parties, women, family and basically a real social life for a couple of years because I really was obsessed with succeeding in this fitness industry and I knew that it was absolutely necessary for me to do those things.

Best Selling Cover ever In The Middle East For Physique Magazine- Nov of 2009- Photo Credit: Aresenik Photography- Top Fitness Model Obi Obadike- Obsession leads to Success!

I knew that no cover, endorsement contract, feature was going to be dropped on my lap and I was going to have to hustle, beg, climb, scratch and do things outside the box to obtain that type of success. I figured if I could really focus and block everything out from the outside and put my money, time, energy and passion in this fitness industry that I knew I could break that color barrier wide open and be considered one of the best in the world at this. I remember vividly having many sleepless nights trying to figure out what I can do outside the box to succeed in this indsutry.

Sometimes when you are obsessed with something and all your time, money, energy is put in this you can lose a lot during that process whether it be relationships, family, friends, etc. and I can say honestly I’ve lost a little of all this collectively in the process. But  when you are obsessed with succeeding sometimes you have to cut off the negative energy if you really want to succeed in life particularly if the odds against you to succeed are slim to none.

Fitness Face Of Muscle-Pharm which is one of the biggest supplement companies in the U.S.

When some of the major U.S magazines turned me down when I first came in the game and the reasons had nothing do with physique or looks I said well I am going to be obsessed with putting all my energy in proving those magazines wrong. I remember vividly one of the emails from one of the fitness photographers who were an ethnic photographer that told me I am sorry man for some reason the magazine rarely puts blacks in the magazine or on the cover.  He said to maybe when this decision maker retires maybe there will be more opportunities for ethnic models in future for this magazine. This was his email back to me from my first fitness model submission email.  I told him point blank in an email in 2008, “Just watch within the next 2 years I am going to be a household name in this fitness industry in the near future and that magazine is going to be very sorry they turned me down.”

e

The most difficult cover ever I've ever landed in my entire life for Maximum Fitness magazine which at the time was one of the biggest major fitness magazine in the U.S. I don't know if I could honestly go through now what I had to do go through at that time adminstratively to get on this cover- Top Fitness Model Obi Obadike-Photo Credit: Liana Saadi - Obsession Leads To Success!

Some of those magazines eventually did turn around and gave me that opportunity but it took a lot of hustling, climbing, scratching, begging and more importantly an undeniable obsession in putting all my time in the fitness industry with the hopes of hopefully having some  prominent success. The moral of this article is to really succeed in anything in life at the highest level of your profession you have to have an obsession and sometimes in that obsession you have to sacrifice a lot of things in your life that are enjoyable to get to that ultimate goal. I can honestly say if I wasn’t obsessed with this fitness industry I never would have made it nor had any success. What led to my obsession was proving everybody that turned me down that they made a big mistake and that an African-American  fitness model can succeed at the absolute highest level in the fitness industry.

First Black male fitness model to land a major canadian fitness magazine in Inside Fitness for Nov/Dec of 2008- Featured with Top Fitness Model Obi Obadike is Top Fitness Model Francisca Dennis- Photo Credit: Jackie Megaw- Obsession Leads To Success!

If you use examples of some of the best athletes in the world such as Jerry Rice and Michael Jordan who were the best in their respective sports they were obsessed with their craft. Jerry was obsessed with football and that obsession led to him being the greatest receiver ever in the NFL. Michael Jordan was obsessed with basketball and that obsession led to him being the greatest basketball player ever.

To succeed at the highest level in your profession you have to be absolutely obsessed with it and I can guarantee you that obsession will eventually lead to great success. After 3 years of landing covers and writing fitness articles I was blessed to land my own tv show called, ”Whole Body Boot Camp” and it will launch very soon on the Health and Wellness Channel. The press release to this tv deal is http://www.lifelovelongevity.com/?p=171 If I wasn’t obsessed with succeeding in this industry and putting all my money, time and energy in this I can honestly say I never would have landed this tv show.

I want to thank photographer Jason Ellis for being the person that planted the idea for me to write this article. www.jasonellisphotography.com The captions on being the first black person or the first fitness model in regards some of these covers doesn’t mean I am the best fitness model, best ethnic fitness model or even best black fitness model it is just to reference that I perservered past certain obstacles within the fitness industry and it led to me obtaining incredible opportunities. Hopefully anybody that has obstacles in their path that they too can persevere if they are focused and obssessed with their career goal.

Was one of the first fitness models to land 3 back to back to back quarterly fitness covers for an international fitness magazine for Ultimate Fitness Magazine in Africa. I was in the stands in Africa for almost about a year. Top Fitness Model: Obi Obadike- Photo Credit: Jason Ellis- Obsession Leads To Success!

There are a lot of amazing fitness personalities and fitness models in the industry that have done amazing things that deserve their just due. First of all I don’t gain anything by writing this article or giving exceptional mention to this individual. And I don’t believe in kissing anybody’s butt for the sake of doing it. Most people who know me know I just call it like it see it and give credit where credit is due.

In the fitness industry there are a lot of people that are competitive and have aspirations of being one of the top fitness models in the world or possibly being the top person in the industry. The top fitness model in the world male or female is Greg Plitt. In fact I don’t even think its close I mean there’s Greg Plitt and then there is everybody else in the fitness industry.  He is in his own league of his own and I don’t think he can be compared to anybody. What he has done in 5 years just purely as cover fitness model period and nothing else is absolutely astronomical and unreal. I don’t think there is one fitness model past or present that has done over 100 fitness magazine covers in a 5 year period. That has to be some record there in itself.

It’s not the covers and it’s not the endorsement contracts it is everything I just mentioned but more importantly it is how many people he has influenced globally. His membership site is the most successful membership site in the fitness industry and it has influenced thousands of people all over the world to attain their fitness goals. Out of all the current models he has been sponsored longer than anybody with over 5 years being associated with the same supplement company in Met-rx.

I think whenever there is new guy with a great face and a great body everybody wants to say he is the next Greg Plitt. How many times have we’ve heard that? Well there is never going to be another Greg Plitt ever and the reason why is because his work ethic is second to none and he seems not to be slowing anytime soon. The man has averaged a cover month in some part of the world for 5 years which is a record in the industry. There are some fitness models that have had a great year or two and have landed 7 covers in a year or even 10 covers in one year but that don’t make you the number one person in the industry just because of one year and it is not just about covers as so many fitness models seem to think.

It is about creating a body of work consistently that stands over time and people can be inspired and motivated by it. It is about being more than just a model it is about being an entrepreneur and being able to turn those covers and exposure into some type of reasonable capital.  I wrote an article called Quantification of a top fitness model and some fitness models took offense to that because I said that being a top fitness personality is more than just having some abs, some covers and good smile.

I always like to use famous athletes as an analogy when I speak because I love sports and I am a sports historian. I remember the great Jerry West said it best that during the early 90’s.  He said, “Michael Jordan  has become a victim of his own success” and that is the reason why he stays so isolated from people and stays inside his house all the time because people always want something from him and he is paranoid. Now I am not saying that Greg is Michael Jordan but within the fitness industry he is.  I think Greg is a victim of his own success and he has had so much success in the industry that people hate on him particularly because people want to take his spot and they want to have his success. Unfortunately he is one of the very few people that figured out the fitness game perfected it and has taken it to another level where few will ever be able to get to.

I remember former NFL Pro receiver Sterling Sharpe was interviewed back in the 90’s and I’ll never forget this interview and he said when he came into the NFL everybody said he is the next Jerry Rice.  Jerry being a very proud person heard this from many NFL analysts that Sterling is probably the best receiver in the game. Jerry was pissed off that this new guy that just came in the league that everybody was crowning him as the best receiver possibly and he hasn’t done anything yet comparatively to Rice. Sterling said that fueled Jerry Rice to continue to work even harder at practice when he heard this and I believe that year he had his best year statistically ever as a receiver.  There were a lot of unbelievable receivers that have come in the NFL that had the potential and talent to be as great as Jerry Rice but they didn’t have his work ethic and that is why he is the best ever. Even till today nobody has ever come close to his receiver numbers and I use this analogy with Greg Plitt.

There are a lot of great marketable top fitness models but I don’t believe that anybody will touch his numbers as a cover model. I think when people starting crowning other people as the number one guy it fuels Greg and it makes him continue to crush the industry with his face all over the covers of magazines all over the world. You look in the stands right now as we speak and this guy is not slowing down at all on covers. With all the success he has had he still isn’t satisfied and I think that is why he will be the best in the fitness industry until he retires. Michael Jordan was the best player in the NBA until he decided he didn’t want to do it anymore and same thing goes with Greg.

This is a tip to all aspiring fitness models and the top ones too:  “Being able to be perceived as a fitness personality or fitness icon is more than just having great abs or being the most ripped or even winning a competition. It is about having the ability, platform and network to influence thousands to millions of people consistently and this comes from having some type of intellect and education that allows you to brand yourself in way where people will follow what you say and what you do. You cannot put a price tag on that type of power and influence and very few possess that in this industry.” This is what embodies Greg Plitt and why he is the number one fitness icon and fitness personality in the world today. It is not even a debate honestly!
